Import and export files to a large number of raster, vector, multimedia and text formatsĬonceptDraw is a free trial software published in the Other list of programs, part of Graphic Apps. Customizable toolbar and floating dialogs Libraries and cliparts: Network Diagram, Office Layout, Org Chart, Business Diagram, Flowchart, Software Chart, Floor Plan, Landscape Design Templates will help to quickly create most common documents. Thats possible thanks to the programs intuitive interface, comprehensive drawing capabilities, and many pre-drawn library shapes. Even if you've never used a drawing tool before, it's very easy to create high-quality professional graphic documents with ConceptDraw 7. It is intended for drawing schemes and diagrams of different kinds: business diagrams and flowcharts, network diagrams and software charts, technical drafts, floor and landscape plans.ĬonceptDraw 7 offers a wide choice of powerful and easy-to-use tools for quickly creating all kinds of charts and diagrams. OK effort for project sw, but would be better if it were more stable.ConceptDraw 7 is a powerful business and technical diagramming package for both Windows and Macintosh. ![]() On the plus side, it does export graphics well in different formats and the parts that work are pretty easy to use. mpp files? and ability to change fonts and font sizes? Crashes with "unexpectedly quit" error when closing documents. Also, how about direct import/export of MS Project. Sometimes draws part of Gantt chart in Column window, and vice versa. When changing column widths the column title box width stays the same but the rest of the column changes (workaround is to change the width then deselect one column from 'Column view' setting, hit OK, then reselect it, hit OK the column will then be correctly drawn). Lines/links between task bars in Gantt charts easily become disconnected and free-float when column widths are changed or sometimes when view is changed from daily to weekly. Their marketing people must be delusional. $180? For this? Not as it is now! How about if you make it work properly then take money from people. it's too bad though since the drawing tool and mind-mapping are awesome. As soon as I find something good, I'll drop ConceptDraw altogether. I'm at a stage now where I'm looking for alternatives for Project that runs well on a Mac and that would integrate with a Mindmapping tool. I'm not talking about 'nice-to-haves' here, I'm talking about flaws in the reporting that makes it very difficult to manage projects. Although the technical support department in North America acknowledges my requests and confirms the deficiencies or bugs, the developers in Europe are not addressing the issues. I have reported dozens of issues to the technical support department over the last two years, some of the elements were resolved although most of the Project reporting tools bugs/deficiencies have yet to be addressed. This lack of a task ID makes it very difficult to map a line# printed on the reports to the actual schedule. One of my biggest issues is a lack of a task ID that would directly map between the actual schedule and the line items printed on the reports. Several of the reports have over-striking issues or don't report what they should. ![]() However, the reporting tools within Project is unacceptable as your schedule becomes a bit more complex. For simple projects, ConcetpDraw Project works OK. I really like the integration with Project and the Mindmapping as well as drawing tools that are part of the ConceptDraw Suite. I'm a professional Project Manager and have been using the ConceptDraw Suite for a couple of years. ![]()
